When she was in 8th & 9th grade, Gopiga would often participate in Speech Competitions. While she doesn’t have as much time now that she’s in college, Gopiga still participates in competitions when she has the chance. Specifically, Gopiga enjoys the opportunity to connect with large audiences at these competitions.

Gopiga's Story
After her father’s passing due to COVID, Gopiga’s family has seriously struggled to maintain their quality of life. Her older brother, who’s physically handicapped because he cannot speak, has made Gopiga’s mother the only earner in the family. Her mother is a construction worker, and only makes 3000 rupees per month ($36 USD). She has had to support Gopiga’s older brother, Gopiga’s tuition, Gopiga’s younger brother who’s currently studying, along with all of the household necessities (food, clothes, etc).
Gopiga began studying Bachelor of Computer Application at Jamal Mohamed college in 2022, primarily because she envisioned being able to find a job with a B. Com degree as soon as she graduates from college. Her goal is to work in a system & to be able to help her mother support the family with a steady income.
